Covenant Connections

Second Sunday in Easter

Apr 25, 2021

Foothills Presbytery created the following worship service for congregations who were unable to worship together on the Sunday following Easter. This service was a collaboration between the Antiracism Ministry Team, Committee on Shared Ministry, Music Ministry Peer Group, the Worship Committee, and Presbytery staff. It features a dialogue sermon between the Rev. Mary Kathleen Duncan and the Rev. Dr. Lerone Wilder, co-moderators of the Foothills Antiracism Ministry Team. In the sermon, Mary Kathleen and Lerone explore what it means to be “Unlikely Bearers of the Good News” in today’s world. At the end of the service, they challenge us to share places where we have experienced joy and shared the good news in innovated and new ways. As you listen to this worship service and reflect on that challenge, we invite you to share the stories of the way your congregation has been a bearer of the good news to your members and in your community. If you have a story to share, please consider submitting an article to the Foothills Covenant Connections by emailing Pressley Cox. We would love to share the many ways our congregations and members are serving the Lord.
