Prayer for the 226th General Assembly

of the

Presbyterian Church (U.S.A). 

Eternal God, you call us to be your people, to speak the gospel and show mercy.

Keep your Spirit with the General Assembly Commissioners as they meet together, so that in everything may do your will.

Guide them, lest they stumble or be misguided by their own desires.

May all the work they do be done for the reconciling of the world,

for the upbuilding of the church, and for the greater glory of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
