Position: Director of Annual Giving and Donor Engagement
Location: Columbia, SC

Position Summary
The Director of Annual Giving and Donor Engagement is a newly created position that represents an exciting expansion of PCSC’s philanthropic program. This role plays a central part in strengthening PCSC’s annual giving initiatives, enhancing donor and church engagement, and elevating the PCSC Foundation’s digital and communications presence.
This role is highly operational and hands-on, while also empowered to bring forward new ideas, recommend improvements, and help shape strategies that enhance donor participation and connection. The Director works closely with the Senior Vice President of Development and Church Relations and contributes directly to the success of PCSC’s fundraising initiatives.

Competencies and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and writing skills along with digital fluency with an eye for engaging content. Success in this role will come with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and the ability to build positive relationships across stakeholder groups. A bachelor’s degree is required, along with experience in fundraising, marketing, communications, or related fields, as is proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The candidate should also possess the ability and willingness to learn and become proficient with the Raiser’s Edge NXT donor database. Preferred qualifications include at least 3 years of experience in fundraising, marketing or communications, demonstrated experience of working effectively with faith-based organizations, and prior experience with Raiser’s Edge NXT. Professional fundraising certification (such as CFRE) is encouraged.
