Mary Morrison was ordained on Sunday afternoon, June 8, at St. Giles Presbyterian Church and installed as Associate Executive for Vocations and Education for Foothills Presbytery. In a service of beautiful music and singing, complete with bagpipes, flute, flugelhorn, drums and guitar, and with sermons shared by Rodney Sadler and Becky Davis, Mary completed her journey to ordination. The afternoon was a wonderful event that ended with a reception at the church with fellowship with Mary's family members, friends and fellow workers. A fast-track, pre-conference school for beginning congregational librarians will be held Saturday, July 19. There will be 25 wide-ranging workshops, and keynote speakers will be Rodney Sadler, Professor of Bible, Susan Usha Dermond, Educator and Author, and Charles Kimball, World Religions expert. This is the fhird year in a row that the program has won the top award. Established in 1982, the weekday preschool program is an extension of Grace Covenant's ministry of caring for children during their formative years of development, striving to provide a loving and stimulating environment in which each child discovers his/her individual "specialness" as a child of God.
