| Green Maze First Phase Planting Event

You are invited to the GREEN MAZE 1st Phase Planting event on Saturday, March 28, from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm at Christ Temple Church, 1912 McDuffie Street, Anderson, S.C.
The GREEN MAZE has been a community-wide effort that took root with the Make A Smile endeavor to build playgrounds in New Orleans. The GREEN MAZE began with a science and engineering summer camp, A-MAZE-ING Camp Success, for teenagers of Anderson County, S.C. in June 2008 at Anderson University. With the official groundbreaking on September 13, 2008, at Christ Temple Church a centerpiece of the GREEN MAZE, a gazebo/theater, was erected. Gardens will be planted with the hope of improving an economically depressed area of Anderson and to have a beautiful meeting place for the neighborhood.
Please bring a plant, a donation, a food item, beverages or yourself to the GREEN MAZE 1st Phase Planting this Saturday, March 28, from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm at Christ Temple Church, 1912 McDuffie St., Anderson, S.C.

| Lily Endowment Announces New Program

The Lily Endowment seeks to strengthen Christian congregations by providing an opportunity for pastors to step away briefly from the obligations of daily parish life and to engage in a period of renewal and reflection.
In the 2009 National Clergy Renewal Program, the endowment anticipates awarding as many as 120 grants of up to $50,000 each directly to Christian congregations for the support of a renewal program for their pastor.
Activities funded by a grant in the clergy renewal program may begin no sooner than January 1, 2010, and must be completed by December 31, 2011.
