Presbyterian Writers Conference

A Presbyterian Writers Conference will be held April 23-24 at Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, GA. If you have an interest in becoming a published author, this conference sponsored by the Presbyterian Writers Guild and New York Times bestselling author, Cecil Murphey, will help you get the information you need. The conference is specifically designed to help writers produce marketable articles or books or to develop a freelance career. The conference faculty includes several published authors. To register, call the seminary at 404-687-4578 or go online and scroll down to April 23. For more information, contact Steve McCutchan or Twila Belk

The Church Officer Development training event will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2:00-5:30 p.m., at Fourth Presbyterian Church. In the newsletter last week, a link was given to the brochure for this event that did not work. So, here again is the link to that brochure and registration form. Share this form with your church officers and have them sign up today to be a part of this training.
Bread for the World

bread
Bread for the World is a collective Christian voice urging our nation's decision makers to end hunger at home and abroad. Every year Bread for the World invites churches and groups across the country to take up a nationwide Offering of Letters to Congress seeking God's justice for hungry people. These letters are effective, and you can play a part. Attend one of the workshops planned in our area to get the tools and knowledge you need to make a difference. Join Bread for the World this year as they press Congress to reform U.S. foreign assistance to make our money more effective at reducing hunger.

Change
 winds
We sing of change...with fear and anticipation. As fact surrounding us.
We sing of change...with yearning and reluctance. As unavoidable.
We sing of change...with hope and anxiety.
As change comes, may we embrace the change upon us...
Changes in Washington, Changes in the economy, Changes in the community and our personal lives.
So that we may live knowing the love and grace of God who undergirds us in the change.
